Kabarole District Farmers Association (KDFA) was founded in 1992 and formally registered in 1998 as a company limited by guarantee. The organisation was established to unite farmers and improve their economic and social wellbeing through collective action and practical support.

KDFA is affiliated to the Uganda National Farmers Federation (UNFFE), the national umbrella body representing district farmers’ organisations across Uganda. This affiliation strengthens farmers’ representation and advocacy at national level.

Over the years, KDFA has implemented agricultural, agribusiness, financial inclusion, environmental, and community development programmes that respond directly to farmers’ needs.

Our Vision
A strong farmers’ organisation offering efficient services to members for sustainable economic and social impact in their communities.

member organizations on who should benefit
  6. Increase the size of the support given to member organizations to correspond to the different
    costs of different technologies.
  7. Develop member organizations capacity in research to stimulate research in sustainable
    agriculture.
  8. Improve networking with research institutions and Government extension services.
  9. To facilitate and promote farmers to develop marketing objectives and focus
  10. Make the training on agri-business intensive and more practical.
