KDFA partnered with CARE International Uganda to implement Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) under the Save Up and Sustain I initiatives.

What We Did
KDFA mobilised communities, formed VSLA groups, and trained members in savings, lending, financial literacy, and income-generating activities.

Key Results and Impact

  • 96 VSLA groups formed with 2,327 members under Sustain I

  • 545 VSLA groups formed with 13,070 members under Save Up

  • Total savings of over UGX 1.54 billion

  • Profits exceeding UGX 355 million shared among members

  • 2,722 members trained in business planning and income generation
